Hi! First post here and this is probably super easy,
just haven't found it 😅
I've got a good camera solve and i need to add an object to the scene, i've got the geomtry for it but theres a lot of reflections and shadows going over the object in the footage so the geometry track get's quite unstable fast.
But i've got 5 really good object trackers on it (in the footage). Now what I would need to do is just pin the geomtry to the trackers (I can see them as "helper trackers"). But is there i way to pin the geomtry to the trackers so that a feature on the geometry sticks to the tracker?
I've seen this feature in syntheyes, but I haven't found it here.
I have some really good features that if I just knew that I could tell the program:
This thing here - goes to this tracker
Everything would probably line up nice.
Any suggestions or tips or how to's on this? :)
Hey Jonas, welcome to the community! 😊
To tackle tricky shots with lots of reflections or shadows, you can set your geometry track to ‘Use helpers only.’ This way, the helper trackers will be solely responsible for tracking your geometry, making it easier to handle those complex shots. Having enough helper trackers equally distributed across your moving object is important here for a good solution.
Object Solver
If you already have object trackers, an alternative you might want to consider using the object solver. Here’s how you can do that:
Attach a ‘User Track’ node with the tracks for your moving object underneath the nodes you’re using to solve your camera. Ensure they’re in a separate group.
Next, attach an ‘Object Solver’ to the ‘User Track’ and solve for your moving object. You can adjust the object’s distance from the camera using the ‘Orientation mode.’
Add a ‘Test Object’ node beneath the ‘Object Solver’ and 'Import' your geometry.
Use the Interaction mode’s ‘Place at selected feature’ to pin the geometry to your moving object (trackers), then use other modes and the 3D viewer to fine-tune its position.
We cover some of this in one of our videos so maybe worth taking a look : )

Hope that helps!
